The Oxford Legacy: Arya 18 December 2009

Filed under: Riverview, Sims 3 — Jan @ 1:58 am

Arya Oxford, my legacy founder, came to Riverview with just some 16,500 simoleans to her name, but dreams in her eyes. Many sleepless nights and a miserably failed book later, nobody’s dared to ask her for an update in the recent past.

Arya bought a decent sized plot and some canny planning enabled her to have a rather nice one-room place. She even had enough left over to buy a laptop! But the days were lonely, and random ringing of bells later, she zeroed in on mega-loser Buck Broke.

And this is how it all started.

Buck, despite having a flirty edge to him, proved surprisingly difficult to get into bed, but the moment Arya managed, she took no chances and got herself pregnant.

Arya was doing quite well at work and started on the multi-volume Oxford family legacy (that she expects future generations to keep up). The book bombed, but heck, they haven’t much of a legacy yet. To be honest, there was almost none, as she did her best to commit suicide…

Anyhow, she lived and thrived and stole watermelons, and a few days later gave birth to a bouncing baby girl, Nadia.

The luck of the Subramaniams 16 December 2009

Filed under: Sims 3, Sunset Valley — Jan @ 12:50 am

When the Subramaniams were new in town, Erin Kennedy offered them a place to crash for a few days. She acted from the kindness of her heart, but little did she know that Ravi and Madhavi (no, not the same people; I just am uninspired these days) would move in lock, stock and barrel. Before Erin knew it, she was babysitting young Roshan, while the parents were busy converting the gleam in their eye to their second-born Madhu.

Well, Roshan grew up to be a snob and a musical genius, and Madhu an excitable, chess-mad, athlete. Erin passed on when Madhu was a child, but she liked to think that it was her influence that gave the little girl her interest in sport. Anyhow, Erin’s death meant the Subramaniams came into a lot of money, with which they bought this house:

Well, anyhow, they love their house. The kids have bikes and all. Roshan appears to be getting serious about his girlfriend and his music, though for some reason I have no photos of him. Madhu passed into teenage a couple of days ago and has a penchant for working out or sneaking off to the beach for a bit of making out…

Dad Ravi is sous chef at the local swank restaurant, while mum Madhavi is a big shot executive in a business firm. Madhavi has her eyes firmly set on reaching the top, no matter now many toes she has to step on, whereas Ravi is already contemplating retirement with a little kitchen garden and lazy mornings at the beach.

Roshan is all set to pass into adulthood in three days and his girlfriend is a “hopeless romantic”. Will they start making babies immediately? What about Madhu — will herrelationship go anywhere? Hmm… we shall have to see.

Resurrection 8 August 2007

Wow, it’s been almost a year since I last updated this site! Lots of excitement in my own life, so I couldn’t take much in the Sim department! I did have a rather busy neighbourhood going, but then my OFB CD cracked and I had to reinstall the game to play only with Uni and NL.

God, it’s painful! I so want OFB, but it’s not available where I live any more. Of course, I have a new neighbourhood, along with a new Legacy family. Their name is Tenner. The founder, June, has two children, Dana and Mark. Dana is the heir.

June is a single parent, and cash are still pretty tight in the Tenner household. Dana has a part-time job after school to do what she can.

New neighbours have moved in next door, a bunch of rather mysterious people. They’re calling their lot Torchwood, and no one really knows what they do. There are three of them, Jack, Toshiko and Ianto, and they have a lot of money. I have a feeling they are going to be very entertaining!
